I started this blog as an outlet for addressing all of the misconceptions about and misrepresentations of feminism I encounter in the media. While there is room for criticism and disagreement between and within feminist discourses, mainstream outlets tend to portray feminists as an amorphous blob of vitriol. By separating fact from fiction, I hope to challenge the dominant narratives and expose popular straw man attacks.

Over time, this blog has developed into something more personal than I had expected. Beyond politics and theory, there is a place for feminist thought in the most intimate areas of life – our relationships with our friends, our families, our partners, and our children. Much of my time and thought is invested in being a friend, wife, mother, sister, and daughter. In keeping with that, my writing goes where I go.
